Method

Cast by hand, at random, by time, or by numbers. The result page shows the primary and changed hexagrams, six relatives, six spirits, and moving lines in the Zhou Yi frame. One question per cast: a clear ask is easier to read against the board. You can pick 用神 (yòngshén) or leave it on auto. Casting is not a lottery of buttons. A clear question and a focused moment matter more than which tab you tap. Pick one method and stay with that cast. Manual suits lines you already hold. Random suits a moment with no number and no chosen clock. Time uses the instant you pick; across time zones, add a city for true solar time. Numbers split a held figure into lower trigram, upper trigram, and the moving line. All four can form a hexagram. The point is to read the one you just cast, not to recast until a prettier board appears.

How to use

Choose a casting method (manual, random, time, or numbers), or open History for saved charts on this device. Manual means picking yin/yang and still/moving from 初爻 to 上爻; random lets the system draw six lines.
Optionally add a city (true solar time), your question, and 用神 (yòngshén) for later review. For time casting across time zones, pick a city. If you are unsure about 用神 (yòngshén), leave Auto.
Tap Cast to open the result page with the primary hexagram, the changed hexagram, and moving lines. One question per reading; if the focus changes, cast again.

FAQ

What does one question per reading mean?: Focus on one clear question per cast. Specific questions are easier to interpret; stacking several topics in one hexagram makes the moving line hard to match. Asking only whether a trip goes smoothly is easier to read against the six relatives than mixing travel, work, and relationships. If the wording is fuzzy, write one sentence first, then cast.
Where is history stored?: History stays in this browser so you can reopen it quickly. It is not auto-listed in a site account. After you sign in you can sync to the cloud and reopen on another device. You can delete local records anytime. We do not sell casting notes or email lists; see the privacy policy for details.
